July 18 to July 20

Each summer, Fire Island Pines becomes the stage for one of the most moving and inspiring weekends on Fire Island. The Fire Island Dance Festival returns in mid July, bringing three days of extraordinary performances set against the natural beauty of the Great South Bay.
Founded as both a celebration of artistry and a powerful act of advocacy, the festival supports Dancers Responding to AIDS, a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Each year, leading dance companies and performers from around the world gather in the Pines to present world premieres and celebrated works, with proceeds benefiting vital services for those living with HIV and AIDS.
For more than 25 years, D. Katen Fire Island Properties has proudly supported the Fire Island Dance Festival through ongoing donations and active participation. As members of this community, it is an event we attend every year and one we genuinely look forward to. There is something incredibly special about watching these dancers perform with such power and grace in a place that means so much to all of us.
The festival is more than a performance. It is a reflection of the compassion, creativity, and commitment that define Fire Island Pines. For residents and visitors alike, it is a weekend that reminds us why this community continues to come together year after year in support of both the arts and one another.
